Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

We are seeking Industrial Painters to prepare, paint, and finish metal products using liquid paint systems. This role involves surface preparation, spray painting, quality inspection, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Apply liquid paint coatings using spray equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality and coverage.
• Perform touch-ups and minor rework as needed.
• Follow production, quality, and safety standards.
• Maintain painting equipment and work area cleanliness.

Requirements

• 1+ year of industrial, manufacturing, or automotive painting experience.
• Experience using spray guns and paint application equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing PPE.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

Nice to Have

• Experience with masking and surface preparation.
• Experience with pressure pot, HVLP, pneumatic, or airless spray systems.
• Automotive painting or refinishing experience.
• Experience mixing paints and adjusting spray equipment.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or metal finishing experience.

Work Environment Manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled and can become hot during summer months. Employees will wear PPE and spend most of the shift standing, walking, and handling metal products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
