We're on the lookout for a friendly and flexible Business Services Representative to join our outpatient team, floating between Pediatrics and Adult Medicine offices. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face (and voice!) for our patientsgreeting them warmly, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and making sure their visit gets off to a smooth start. You'll also handle key business tasks like patient registration, insurance verification, collecting copays, managing referrals, and providing general clerical support to keep things running seamlessly behind the scenes.
This is a float position, so you'll travel between different locations, sometimes within the same day. Reliable transportation is essential, as you'll be supporting both our Pediatrics and Adult Medicine offices based on daily needs.
What you will do:
Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred
Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.
