Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Manager directs, coordinates, and oversees revenue cycle operations, including customer service, cash application, patient billing, collections, financial counseling, and treasury functions. The role manages staff, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, monitors operational performance, collaborates with internal departments to resolve billing issues, and supports continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline assigned staff.
• Delegate work and establish departmental goals, objectives, and performance expectations.
• Conduct employee rounding, promote engagement, and support staff development.
• Review quality assurance results and provide education and training.
• Manage patient billing support, collections, financial counseling, and uncompensated care programs.
• Oversee cash application, payment posting, balancing, reconciliations, refunds, and payment resolution.
• Monitor collection agency performance and patient account reconciliation.
• Prepare and distribute performance reports and implement performance improvement plans.
• Review and validate system change requests impacting revenue cycle processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements.
• Conduct departmental meetings and represent the department on committees.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve patient billing concerns.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the role.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business required.

OR

• High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of progressive Revenue Cycle leadership experience.

OR

• Associate's degree with four (4) years of progressive Revenue Cycle leadership experience.

Experience

• Five years of experience in patient accounting, third-party reimbursement, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in treasury management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in patient accounting, third-party reimbursement, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Schedule

• Full-time.
• Day shift.
